Delaware City – At around 4:15 Monday afternoon rescue crews from the Delaware City, Minquas, Townsend, Port Penn, and Goodwill Fire Companies, along with DNREC Marine Units were dispatched to the Delaware River in the area of the C & D Canel for reports of watercraft in distress.

While en route crews learned that there was a person in the water.

Radio traffic from the search is garbled. The last readable traffic indicated that boats are still in the water searching the area where a boat that was believed have gone under.
