Police Identify Woman Found Dead Behind Parole Office

The Dover Police Department has identified the identity of a woman who was found deceased in a shed on June 7th, 2020. The woman was positively identified as Kathy Noble (59), originally from the Florida/Georgia area. Next of kin was able to be notified. The death is not considered suspicious.

The Dover Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a body was found in a shed at 511 Maple Parkway in Dover, according to M/Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer.

On Sunday, June 7th, officers reported to the back of the Delaware Probation and Parole office after an employee smelled an odor coming from a shed.

Officers arrived and located the body of an unknown female inside of the shed. Based on the officer’s observations, it appears the woman was homeless and has been living in the shed for some time.

The identity of the woman and cause of death is unknown at this time, but foul play is not suspected.
