Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating a home invasion in the community of Todd Estates in Newark.
During the early morning hours of December 13th, 2020, at approximately 12:27 A.M., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the unit block of Todd Lane in the community of Todd Estates for a report of a Home Invasion.
Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that the woman was struck in the leg.
Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police, Criminal Investigations Unit arrived at the scene and assumed the investigation. Officials said additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
