WomAn Trapped After Slamming Into Arrow Truck On I-95 Overnight

At approximately 12:58 a.m. New Castle County Paramedics, along with Minquas Fire Company personnel, were dispatched to the area of I-95 southbound and the Basin Road off-ramp to assist Delaware State Police on a motor vehicle crash, according to NCCEMS Assistant PIO MaryKate Selner.

Selner said New Castle County Paramedics arrived to find one patient who had been operating a four-door sedan that struck an impact prevention vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The sedan was heavily damaged and rescue tools were required to extricate the patient. The driver of the sedan, a 26-year-old woman, suffered neck, face, and possible head injuries. She patient was transported to Christiana Hospital by Minquas Fire Company accompanied by Paramedics. The patient was in serious but stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
