Police have updated the shooting that we first told you about this morning.
Newark Police said they are investigating an early morning shooting Tuesday..
Police said at about 6:18 this morning Newark Police responded to a residence in the unit block of Madison Drive for a report of a shooting. Arriving officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of an injury not believed to be life-threatening.
One suspect was taken into custody at the scene. No additional suspects are believed to be involved said police
