Man Critically Injured In Pike Creek Crash Friday

At approximately 1:20 p.m. the New Castle County Paramedics, Mill Creek Fire Company, and Hockessin Fire Company were dispatched to Limestone Road at Stoney Batter Road for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment.

Spokeswoman Senior Sergeant Abigail Haas said New Castle County Paramedics arrived on scene to find a four-door sedan that had crashed into the rear of a box truck. A single occupant of the sedan was injured and treated by EMS personnel. A 25-year-old male was treated on scene by paramedics for internal injuries and was transported to Christiana Hospital by a Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance with paramedics on board in critical condition.

Delaware State Police is investigating the incident.
