Man’s Suspicious Death In April Listed As Negligent Manslaughter Investigation, Details Few

New Castle County Police have listed an April death as a Negligent Manslaughter Investigation on their crime map.

County Police say they are investigating a “Suspicious Death” in the Community of Oak Lane Manor.

On April 8, 2022, FSU alerted our readers that residents were reporting that a home on S Hilton Road in Wilmington was taped off by yellow police tape for much of the day. We told you that County Police forensics and multiple officers were on the scene.

After our report officials said that earlier in the morning, detectives from the New Castle County Criminal Investigation Unit began an investigation involving the “suspicious death” of a 61-year-old male located inside of a residence located on the 1000 block of Hilton Road, in the community of Oak Lane Manor.

Officials said the investigation was still active, yet detectives were able to learn from their efforts that all parties involved are accounted for and no suspects are being sought. They added that future updates will follow.

To date, there have been no updates other than the crime map now showing that a homicide investigation took place as a result of the death.
