Photos: One In Custody At Newark Reserve Center, Bomb Squad On Scene

Officials are investigating a suspicious person at a building at the Joint Armed Forces Reserve Center on Ogletown Road in Newark.

Sources tell FSU that police responded to the scene for reports of a man holding a rifle in the parking lot.

Police have closed Ogletown Road between SR 72 and White Clay Center Drive. One suspect was taken into custody according to Lt. Andrew Rubin.

Employees at the Honda Service center tell FSU that a man was throwing money at construction workers shortly before police arrive on scene.

New Castle County Bomb squad is currently using a robot to lift a tarp off of a white Jeep in the southwest corner of the base. Sources tell FSU that the employees at the base are sheltering in place.

No injuries have been reported.

The following roadways are expected to remain closed as the investigation continues:
Ogletown Road is closed between SR 72 and White Clay Center Drive.
Marrows Road is closed between Ogletown Road and Wyoming Road.
