Just after 5:30, Friday morning rescue crews from the Carlisle Fire Company were dispatched to the 7400 block of Wilkins Road in Milford for reports of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
Wilkins Road has been closed while State Police investigate the crash – Expect a lengthy closure.
State police issued the following statement:
“Delaware State Police are currently on the scene of a serious injury collision on Wilkins Road. As a result, Wilkins Road east of Elks Lodge Road will be closed for an extended period. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes of travel to avoid delays.
This collision is in the early stages of the investigation. Additional details will be released once they become available.”
