Woman In Critical Condition After Being Struck By A Vehicle

At approximately 7:12 pm, New Castle County Paramedics, Elsmere Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the 3300 block of Sussex Drive for a motor vehicle collision with a reported pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Assistant PIO Oliver Kocher said responding units confirmed one patient. Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient, an approximately 38-year-old female patient in the care of Elsmere Fire Company EMTs. The patient suffered injuries to her lower extremities with suspected internal injuries. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Elsmere Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in critical condition at the time of transport.

New Castle County Police is investigating the crash.
