Police Investigating Shooting Incident In Middletown

Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police are investigating a shots-fired incident where an occupied home was struck by gunfire in the Crossland development.

Officials said on Monday, May 1, 2023, at approximately 10:41 p.m. Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Yensid Drive in Middletown in reference to a shots fired report.

Arriving officers located multiple shell casings in the roadway on Yensid Drive. Officers on the scene learned that a residence had been struck by gunfire and multiple victims had occupied the home at the time of the incident. No persons were injured during the incident. Detectives responded to the scene and have since assumed the investigation.
