Police Investigating Overnight Shooting Of Young Man

Authorities in Wilmington are investigating a shooting incident that took place on Tuesday night in the 200 block of South Franklin Street.

At approximately 11:47 p.m. on Tuesday, gunfire erupted in the 200 block of South Franklin Street police said Wednesday. Responding to the scene, the Wilmington Police officers discovered a 26-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, who was transported to a nearby hospital, is listed in stable condition

In the wake of this incident, law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation into the shooting. Detectives from the Wilmington Police Department, led by Detective Michael Hayman, are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
