Police: 3-Year-Old Struck And Killed In Camden Tuesday

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit is reaching out to the public for assistance in gathering information about a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on S. State Street in Camden this afternoon.

The victim, a three-year-old child, was struck and fatally injured by a vehicle at around 4:00 on Tuesday accoring to police. Several readers reported that Troopers were performing CPR on the child prior to medical crews arrivial.

Officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the hit-and-run incident. Police have released photos of vehilce of interest and are asking for the public to contact them if you have information regarding the incident.

In a plea to the community, Detective J. Lane of the Delaware State Police Troop 3 is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses information about the vehicle and its operator to come forward.
