Police Investigating Attempted Luring Of Young Women In Newark

The Criminal Investigations Unit of the New Castle County Division of Police is currently conducting an investigation into an incident involving a subject attempting to lure young women police said Friday.

According to police, the suspect, while in a vehicle, approached several young women who were standing at a bus stop in the area of Newtown Road and Smalley’s Dam Road in Newark.

The vehicle used by the suspect is described as a dark green two-door sedan with noticeable white scratches and chipped paint.

Law enforcement officials are actively seeking assistance from the public in their investigation. If you have any surveillance footage or cell phone recordings related to this incident or possess any information that may be pertinent to the case, authorities encourage you to come forward.
