Five Reportedly Injured In Crash That Closed I-95 Over Thanksgiving Weekend

A traffic collision occurred on Interstate 95 Northbound near the Pennsylvania state line on Saturday, just before 5:20 PM, resulting in injuries and the closure of the interstate.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that the incident involved at least one vehicle that veered off the roadway and went down an embankment close to the Pennsylvania rest stop.

Five individuals inside a vehicle were reportedly evaluated at the scene. At least two were transported to an area hospital for medical attention. Among the injured, one person was initially trapped inside the vehicle. Rescue crews, arriving at the scene, successfully extricated the trapped individual.

The accident led to the closure of both I-95 Northbound and I-495 Northbound in Delaware. As of the latest updates, these lane restrictions remained in place, impacting traffic in the area.

Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes and exercise caution in the vicinity of the accident.
