Bicyclist Injured In Newark Crash Monday

Just after 12:20, Monday afternoon a traffic collision occurred in the 600 block of Barksdale Road, near Apple Road, involving a vehicle and a bicyclist.

The incident involved a male cyclist in his 40s who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Emergency crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, dispatched to the scene, found that the cyclist had sustained only minor injuries. The cyclist refused transport to the hospital after being evaluated on the scene by Aetna’s ambulance A-9.

Newark Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision between the vehicle and the bicyclist.
