A traffic collision was reported early this morning at the intersection of Lancaster Pike and Downs Drive in Wilmington.
The accident involved a male driver who reportedly overshot a turn and collided with a utility pole.
Emergency crews from the Cranston Heights Fire Company along with Delaware State Police responded to the scene just after 7:15. The driver was transported to Christiana Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
