The Delaware State Police are investigating a serious crash that occurred at 8:37 Tuesday morning in Sussex County.
The incident took place in the area of 30088 Iron Branch Road, southeast of Millsboro. Emergency crews from the Dagsboro Fire Company, Millsboro Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police responded to the crash.
In a statement, the Delaware State Police indicated that Iron Branch Road, particularly in the area of Lewis Lane, is currently closed due to the severity of the crash. They have urged drivers to find alternative routes to avoid delays.
At least one patient was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. A child was also transported.
