Wednesday House Morning Fire In Wilmington

On Wednesday, at approximately 6:40, the Wilmington Fire Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Conrad Street for a report of a structure fire.

Units arrived on scene and located a fire on the second floor of a two-story row home. Crews extinguished the fire that had spread to the roof area and searched the residence for occupants. It was discovered that all occupants had exited the structure before the fire department arrived on scene. Crews removed smoke and checked the attached structures for fire extension.

Captain Frank Ballek said that the Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire. There were no injuries during the incident.
