Another Armed Carjacking, This Time In New Castle

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred early this morning at a Wawa in New Castle.

Officials said on July 3, 2024, at approximately 2:18 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed carjacking that occurred at the Wawa located at 117 South Dupont Highway in New Castle.

Upon arriving, troopers learned that an unknown black male suspect approached the 25-year-old victim in the parking lot and demanded the victim’s car keys while lifting his shirt to show a firearm. The victim complied and the suspect fled towards State Route 273 in the stolen Honda Accord.

The suspect is described as an unknown black male.
