Early Friday morning, the Laurel Police Department alerted the public to a heightened police presence at the Holly Brook Apartments off of Discount Land Road in Laurel. According to an email sent to First State Update shortly after 3:00 a.m., the Delaware State Police are providing assistance in managing the incident.
At this time, officials have not disclosed the nature of the incident. However, sources tell First State Update that authorities are searching for a wanted individual wearing handcuffs. It’s not clear if the incident mention in the email is related to the search for the suspect.
In addition to the increased police activity, an ambulance has been dispatched to the scene to remain on standby.
