Motorcycle Rider Succumbs To Her Injuries In The Hospital

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in Newark on Tuesday.

Officials said on August 6, 2024, at approximately 5:01 p.m., a Harley Davidson FXS motorcycle was driving eastbound, in the left lane, on Pulaski Highway approaching Wrangle Hill Road. At the same time, a Nissan Altima was driving westbound on Pulaski Highway and had entered the crossover east of Wrangle Hill Road.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old woman from Bear, was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. On August 8, 2024, she died from her injuries. Her name is being withheld until her family is notified.

The driver of the Altima, a 24-year-old man from Newark was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
