One Dead, One Hospitalized After Riverfront Shooting Early Saturday

Wilmington Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at approximately 1:48 a.m. in the 100 block of South West Street. 

Police located a 28-year-old male gunshot victim near a Riverfront restaurant. The man, described as a Hispanic male was reportedly suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Live saving measures were performed before the man was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A second patient was transported from the scene suffering from lacerations to the head. The condition of that patient is unknown at this time.
