Wilmington Police are actively investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 8:09 Friday morning in the area of North Walnut and Kennebec Streets.
According to authorities, a 27-year-old female victim sustained a gunshot wound and later arrived at a local hospital. She was reported to be in stable condition upon arrival.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Officials have not released information regarding a suspect or motive at this time.
