A man in his 70s was seriously injured Thursday morning after the golf cart he was riding in was reportedly struck by a vehicle while crossing Rockland Road in front of the DuPont Country Club. There is conflicting information that the man may have been walking when he was struck.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on June 12 in the area of Rockland Road near the entrance to the country club.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and rendered aid before transporting the victim to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
