Man Electrocuted In New Castle Tuesday

A man was critically injured in an electrocution incident late Tuesday morning at the New Castle Corporate Commons on Reads Way, according to Assistant Public Information Officer Leslie V. Antonelli-Hobbs.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:17 a.m., prompting the response of New Castle County Paramedics and the Wilmington Manor Fire Company. Upon arrival, emergency crews found a 55-year-old male with injuries consistent with electrocution.

The patient was treated on scene by paramedics and then transported by Wilmington Manor ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He was listed in critical condition with burn injuries to his head, neck, and extremities, as well as possible internal injuries.

New Castle County Paramedics and the Wilmington Manor Fire Company were the responding agencies.
