GEORGETOWN, Del. — Three individuals have been arrested on felony drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Georgetown, according to the Delaware State Police.
On July 29, 2025, law enforcement personnel from the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, and Georgetown Police Department executed the search warrant at a property located in the 20000 block of Savannah Road. The warrant followed an investigation into the suspected distribution of illegal narcotics by Gary Jefferson and Paul Sample from the residence.
During the operation, authorities detained 18 individuals, including 52-year-old Gary Jefferson of Georgetown, 26-year-old Jamie Reed of Milford, and 54-year-old Paul Sample of Georgetown. Officials said a search of the individuals, their vehicles, and the premises led to the seizure of $723 in suspected drug proceeds, approximately 0.19 grams of crack cocaine, and various prescription pills including medroxyprogesterone, valacyclovir, bupropion, gabapentin, tadalafil, olanzapine, and spironolactone. Investigators also recovered a digital scale and additional drug paraphernalia.
Five of the 18 detained individuals were arrested on misdemeanor charges or capias warrants. The remaining individuals were released.
Gary Jefferson (L) was charged with maintaining a drug property (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $1,500 unsecured bond.
Jamie Reed (C) was charged with seven counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (felony), possession of a controlled substance in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 quantities (felonies), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $24,500 secured bond.
Paul Sample (R) was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (felony) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and released on a $3,500 unsecured bond.
