Man Facing Drug Charges After Search Warrant

A coordinated law enforcement operation in Ellendale has led to the arrest of a 53-year-old man on multiple felony drug charges.

On August 11, 2025, the Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit, the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, and the State Police Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on the 13000 block of South Old State Road. The warrant followed an investigation into suspected narcotics distribution from the home by Andre Mullen police said.

Three individuals, including Mullen, were detained during the search. Authorities recovered approximately 44.92 grams of crack cocaine, 15.7 grams of powder cocaine, 44 buprenorphine sublingual films, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and $793 in suspected drug proceeds.

Mullen was transported to Troop 4, where he was charged with multiple felony counts, including possession with intent to deliver controlled substances across several tiers, operating a clandestine laboratory, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $178,200 cash bond.
