Woman Injured In Rollover Crash Early Friday

A 35-year-old woman was transported for medical evaluation following a rollover crash early Friday morning on Interstate 95 northbound at the Sandbox Road in New Castle.

The incident was reported at 3:02 a.m. as a rollover crash in the area of Interstate 95 northbound near the Sandbox. Initial reports from the scene indicate that police assisting at the scene helped the woman out of the vehicle, and officials reported that no extended fire department extrication was required.

The woman was transported to Christiana Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was partially closed while emergency crews worked to assist the patient and clear the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated by police.
