Townsend Crash Sends Child, Two Others To Hospital

Townsend – At approximately 6:50 pm last evening New Castle County Paramedics, Odessa Fire Company and Townsend Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Fieldsboro Road and DuPont Parkway in Townsend for a motor vehicle crash involving multiple patients, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne Russell.

Russell said upon arrival New Castle County Paramedics found 3 patients. The first patient, a minor, was transported to Christiana Hospital via Townsend Fire Company ambulance. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport. The second patient, 19-year-old male, suffered abdominal injuries and was transported to Christiana Hospital via Townsend Fire Company ambulance. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

The third patient, 34-year-old male, suffered injuries to his back and legs with body wide abrasions. The patient was transported to Christiana Hospital via Odessa Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
