Reports: Person Riding A Bicycle Struck By Car In Newark

Newark – At approximately 11:00 this morning firefighters and ambulance crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with New Castle County Police and Paramedics have responded to the intersection of E Chesnut Hill Road & Pearson Drive (near the Christina Early Education Center) for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Early reports indicate that the patient was riding a bicycle when they were struck by a vehicle. As ambulance crews arrived they asked ALS (Advance Life Support) to respond to the scene.

The ALS medics, along with Aetna’s A-9 EMT’s are transporting the patient to Christiana Hospital with undetermined injuries.
