Bear – New Castle County Police, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police are on scene at the intersection of Thornhill Drive and Thayer Court investigating reports of shots fired.
Early reports indicate that just before 7:00 this evening someone opened fire near the intersection. Witnesses reported that the suspect fired a weapon 7 to 8 times before a fleeing towards Route 40 on foot.
Multiple officers and State Troopers have converged on the area.
No injuries have been reported.
