One Flown To Trauma Center After Accident, Crash Location Unclear

Townsend – Just after 4:00 this afternoon rescue crews from thTownsendnd Fire Company, along with Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation)  responded to the 200 Block of Camberton Lane for reports of a vehicle accident with injuries.

Reports from the scene indicate that a driver was involved in an accident at a different location, that resulted in heavy front-end damage. The driver reportedly called 911 to report that they needed medical attention. Upon arrival, crews determined that patients injuries would need advanced life support service and Trooper 4 was dispatched to the scene.

The patient was transported via helicopter to Christiana Hospital with a trauma alert called. Landing at the hospital at approximately 4:45 pm.

It’s unclear at this point where the initial accident occurred.
