Townsend – Rescue crews from the Townsend Fire Company, along with Delaware State Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) have responded to Dupont Parkway in the area of the weigh station for reports of a vehicle accident with ejection.
Townsend Command has asked for an additional ambulance to respond to the scene. The patient will be transported to the weigh station by ground ambulance and transferred to Trooper 4 for transport.
Reports from the scene indicate that the accident was a two-vehicle accident with a confirmed ejection.
6:35 pm Update – Patient is aboard Trooper for with an additional medic from the New Castle County Paramedics – 4-minute eta to the hospital- a trauma alert has been called.
No word on the occupants of the other vehicle at this time.
