Two Men Found Shot In Wilmington Sunday Morning

Wilmington – On Sunday, 08 April, 2018, at approximately 12:20 am, Wilmington Police were summoned to the 200 block of Lombard Street for a ‘Shot Spotter Notification’, according to police.

Officials said upon their arrival, they conducted an area search. During their search officers were advised of a shooting victim located in the 400 block of N. Pine Street. Officers responded and made contact with a 27-year-old male victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck area. He was treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics before being transported to the Christiana Hospital, via ambulance, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Meanwhile, a second victim, a 22-year-old male, was located in the 700 block of E. 5th Street, who sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was also treated on scene by New Castle County paramedics, then was transported to the Christiana Hospital, via ambulance, where he is currently listed in stable condition.
