It’s Happened Again, Another Motorcycle Crash In Newark, Rider To Trauma


Newark –  Just before 6:00 this evening rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with Newark Police and New Castle County Paramedics have responded to South Main Street (Elkton Road) at Apple Road for an accident involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, crews have found a motorcycle rider in the roadway. Radio reports indicate that the motorcycle and a minivan collided in the intersection.

Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation), already in the area, responded to the accident and landed in the Park-n-Shop shopping center.

The rider was transporter to the Trauma Unit at Christiana Hospital via Trooper 4. It’s believed that the riders injuries are not life-threatening
