Man Held On $160,000 Bond

Newark – During the month of September, 2016, Drug Control Squad detectives initiated an investigation into heroin sales in the Centennial Village community.  Detectives were able to identify Troy “T” Waller as the suspected drug dealer, according to Public Information Officer JP Piser.

Through the investigation, detectives were able to obtain a warrant for Troy “T” Waller’s arrest and a search warrant for his residence in the unit block of Lafayette Place.

Piser said that on Wednesday, September 28, detectives conducted surveillance on the residence and were able to arrest Troy “T” Waller without incident.  Upon service of the search warrant, detectives located a substantial amount of heroin in the residence.  Detectives seized a total of 1,085 bags of heroin, with an estimated street value of $3,300.

Troy “T” Waller was charged with possession with intent to deliver a Tier-4 quantity of heroin, possession of a Tier-5 quantity of heroin, possession with intent to deliver a Tier-1 quantity of heroin, two counts of possession of a Tier-1 quantity of heroin and two counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin.  He was arraigned on the charges and committed to Young Correctional Institution after failing to post $160,000.00 secured bail.
