Accident Shuts Down Route 40 WB In Newark

Rescue crews have responded to Route 40 at Lagrange Avenue near Delaware State Police Troop 2 for an injury accident.

State police released the following statement.

“Traffic Advisory * Newark- Rt 40 westbound at Lagrange Ave. closed due to crash.”

Early indications are that the road will be closed for an extended period of time.

We are working to gather more information.
