This morning, Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 5:47, rescue crews from the Little Creek Fire Company were dispatched to Route 9 east of Dover Airforce Base for an injury accident.
Upon arrival, Command reported that a tractor-trailer was jackknifed in the field and another vehicle was involved.
Command later reported that one person was heavily entrapped in the vehicle and crews were working to free the patient.
Once the patient was freed from the vehicle they where transported via Trooper 4 to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital in Stanton.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was evaluated at the scene but refused transport.
DNREC is on scene is on scene dealing with a fuel leak from the tractor-trailer.
Bayside Drive (Route 9) is shut down between Bergold ln and Pickering Beach Rd s/o Little Creek in Dover due to Motor Vehicle Accident.
