Newark – Fire crews from across New Castle County were dispatched to the Main Street Court Apartments this afternoon for a reported gas leak. Arriving crews found and odor of gas coming from the pizza restaurant located on the bottom floor.
Fire crews could be seen walking through the structure opening windows as the the fire alarms blared.
Delaware Avenue was closed for around 20 minutes with fire trucks blocking the road.
Crews remain on scene along with crews from Delmarva.
