Bear – At 8:08 last evening, Friday, September 6, 2019, rescue crews from the Christiana Fire Company, along with New Castle County (NCC) Medics, NCC Police and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Aviation) responded to the area if Howell School Road at Robert Peoples Blvd. for reports of a high-velocity motor vehicle accident.
While en route crews learned that the caller was reporting that a woman was unconscious and trapped in a vehicle.
As the first crews began to arrive on scene they confirmed that one patient was trapped.
Shortly after the first reports from the scene, the incident commander alerted dispatch that Trooper 4 would be utilized for transport.
At 8:38 Command reported that the patient had been freed from the vehicle.
Minutes later Trooper 4 reported that they were lifting off from the scene and en route to the Trauma Center at Christiana Hospital.
Radio reports indicate that an additional patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital, that has not been confirmed.
