Just after 5:15 this evening rescue crews from Aetna, Hose, Hook, and Ladder along with New Castle County Medics and Newark Police responded to Delaware Avenue near the bus terminal for reports of a pedestrian struck.
Crews located a male patient suffering from injuries to his extremities. That patient has been transported to the trauma center at CER.
Vehicle traffic was moving by on the shoulder as police investigated the crash.
