Tens Of Thousands Without Power In Delaware, Surrounding Area

Heavey storms that rolled through the region overnight and into the morning have caused widespread power outages.

Rescue crews across the region are responding to multiple reports of trees and utility wires down.  Homes in Kent and Sussex County, Delaware have been damaged by falling trees. One patient was rescued in Milford this morning after a tree crushed his home.

Atlantic City Electric is reporting that 21,483 customers in southern New Jersey are without power

Delmarva Power is currently reporting that 4,091 customers in Delaware and Maryland have lost power.

Delaware Electric Cooperative reported that they were responding yo over 10,000 outages, they are currently reporting 7703  without power.
