Troopers Update Fatal Shooting At Bear Wawa

Bear- On October 20, 2020, at approximately 11:58 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Wawa located at 1100 Pulaski Highway, Bear, for a reported shooting, according to Public Information Officer, Master Corporal Heather Pepper.

Pepper said the investigation determined 24-year-old Daniel Haye of Wilmington had an altercation in the parking lot and subsequently was shot twice while standing outside of a vehicle. Haye was transported to an area hospital by ambulance for a gunshot wound to his torso and leg and died as a result of his injuries.
