Police Identify Victim Shot And Killed In Appleby Estates

Officials with the New Castle County Division of Police have identified the Appleby Estates homicide victim as 25-year-old Qasim Felder.

Police said they are currently conducting a homicide investigation in the community of Appleby Estates.

On Saturday at approximately 4:00 P.M., Officers responded to the area of Estates Drive and Conlin Court for a report of shots fired. Officials said upon arrival, officers discovered one male gunshot victim, however, they did not release his age. Despite life-saving efforts by officers and New Castle County Paramedics on scene, the victim was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

Officials said Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit, Homicide Squad have assumed the investigation.

In recent weeks police have responded to several shootings in the same general area.
