Just after 6:00, Saturday morning rescue crews from the Minquadale Fire Company along with several area fire companies and New Castle Paramedics responded to the unity block of Onaway Place in the Garfield Park Development, for reports of a house fire.
While en route crews learned that there was an open line with alarms sounding in the background. Upon arrival, crews reported fire showing with a subject trapped in a back bedroom.
Two patients were pulled from the home and rushed to an area hospital.
Investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office have responded to the scene.
