The U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware, David C. Weiss, has announced that Justin Cabot, 50, of New Jersey, has been indicted on one count of bank robbery.
According to the indictment, Cabot allegedly entered Bank of Delmarva on June 24, 2022, and made off with $1,806 and a GPS device valued at $796 after presenting a note to the bank teller demanding cash.
If convicted of this crime, he could face up to 20 years in prison as well as a fine of up to $250,000 as determined by a federal district court judge under consideration of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors.
The Laurel Police Department is conducting this investigation in conjunction with the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Eli H Klein is prosecuting the case.
