Fire Destroys Vehicles Near Port Of Wilmington

On Wednesday afternoon, a car carrier caught fire in the Castlewood Industrial Park in New Castle. The incident occurred at around 1:00 PM at 150 Pigeon Point Road.

Firefighters from the Holloway Terrace, Goodwill, and Minquadale Fire Companies responded to the scene and worked for approximately 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control. Unfortunately, the carrier and a white pickup truck were destroyed in the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine its origins. However, the swift response of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading and causing additional damage to the surrounding area.
