Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a destructive two-alarm fire that broke out in the early hours of Monday morning. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Furies Street, prompting a response from the Citizens Hose Fire Company.
At approximately 3:15 a.m., the Citizens Hose Fire Company received an alert about the fire and immediately dispatched units to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found the structure fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to two adjacent homes. Command struck a second alarm which brought additional resources to assist in extinguishing the blaze.
Although the fire damaged the affected properties, there have been no reports of injuries at this time.
By 6 a.m., most of the firefighting teams had cleared the scene, having successfully brought the flames under control.
