The Wilmington Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that took place at approximately 10:08 p.m. on a Sunday evening. The incident occurred in the 300 block of West 26th Street.
During the incident, law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire and discovered a 22-year-old female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was treated at the scene was then transported to the trauma center in stable condition.
